Renton is located at the South end of Lake Washington and is packed with amazing scenery and views. Mt. Rainier is quite the treat on sunny days, and the lookout at the Seattle skyline is breathtaking. There are plenty of parks packed throughout the city and great boutiques, shops, and restaurants.

Renton History Museum
Based out of an old firehouse, this museum is spectacular; filled with plenty of great history from the Renton-Seattle Area. The history spans from pre 1900 up to current day, and is filled with very interesting information about the places around us.

The trainers here do a good job of focusing on the class as a whole, while also giving individual attention. They have nothing but excellent reviews and people love the energy packed into this 30 minute workout. Kickboxing is a fun way to engage in your workout, as it requires a good amount of focus on the strategy.
Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park
This park is decked out with wonderful views of Lake Washington and a great swimming area. Trails throughout it make for lovely walks and picnics. It is a great park and people really love spending their time here. There is a lot to do and see; it is a keystone to the community.
Cedar River Park
Located right on the Maple Valley Highway, this is a great place to stroll though. The park is home to the Renton Community Center, the Henry Moses Aquatic Center and the Carco Theater so there is plenty of fun to be had here. The Cedar River Boathouse also supplies kayak and canoe rentals to tour through the river and even into Lake Washington

Shopping and Restaurants
The Landing
This outdoor shopping center is jam packed with restaurants, stores, movies and activities. There are great stores here including a personal favorite- Cost Plus World Market; so many foods, house decorations and Knick Knacks from around the world. There is also a target, Ross and so many more fun shops.
Ivar’s Seafood Bar
This restaurant gives a true bite of Seattle. The seafood here is to die for and the restaurant chain is a trademark to Seattle culture. Nobody does seafood quite like Ivar’s. There are many Ivar’s locations throughout Seattle as well, if you are searching for a place to eat out, you can replace your local Renton Ivar’s with “Ivar’s Salmon House” located in Seattle, supplying astonishing views into Lake Union.
Liberty Café
This is a great place for a morning cup of coffee, brunch, or lunch! They have great food and live music and an impeccable selection of both sandwiches and breakfast sandwiches. The service is awesome, and quite often the owner is in there making drinks and has a very sweet and chatty personality. They make everyone feel very welcomed while also serving great drinks and food. The chai tea latte is a great start to the morning.
